At her Melbourne headquarters, Jennifer Dumét can barely contain her excitement. "My new range of ceramics is probably the best I've ever done. It's really cutting edge - right out of the square," she says.

With some 120 new season items ranging from platters and vases to natural lighting pieces including decorative oil and tea light burners, the seasoned designer will have one of the most comprehensive displays at Decoration + Design.

A neutral palette dominated by top favourite, matte white - "such a big seller" - accentuates the strong emphasis on eye-catching texture. "It's been inspired by hessian, a coconut I found on a beach - all sorts of natural influences," says Jennifer.

Her large international clientele has seen a comparable expansion at her production base in southern China. "We are now responsible for employing about 1,000 people there," Jennifer Dumét reveals.
