Eight internationally renowned experts, two days, one event: The 2011 International Industry Seminar Series
Furnitex and Decoration + Design have confirmed a stellar line-up for the 2011 International Industry Seminar Series, held over 21st and 22nd July 2011 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. Sponsored by Home Beautiful, eight leading design experts from across the globe will inspire interior enthusiasts as they discuss the hot trends for future seasons and influences driving the interiors industry.
World renowned designer Abigail Ahern (UK), famous for her cutting edge designs and magical interiors, will open the series with her Creating feeling and emotion in an interior seminar. Focusing on her trademark attention to detail, Abigail will discuss the use of tactile, visual and multi-layered interiors to convey mood and emotion.

Lightsource set to illuminate 2011

With over 50 leading Australian and international lighting brands exhibiting under the one roof, Lightsource (now in its second year) will showcase the most cutting edge commercial and retail lighting solutions. Due to high demand, Lightsource has moved from its initial home of the Royal Exhibition Buildings to sit alongside Decoration + Design at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 21 - 24 July 2011.
Boasting two spotlight features - including Lightsource Design, a section dedicated to creative lighting fixtures, and Lightsource Technology, hosting the latest energy saving lighting technologies - Lightsource will reveal the lighting brands and experts currently leading the market in technological innovation.

DECORATION + DESIGN Melbourne 2011
Community and collaboration will converge with the individual and unique when DECORATION + DESIGN Melbourne returns to the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 21-24 July 2011. Co-located with Furnitex and for the first time, Lightsource, DECORATION + DESIGN is the largest interiors event in Australia and brings together an unrivalled range of soft furnishings, outdoor decoration, artwork, homewares, objet d’arts, lighting, interior accessories and much more.
Visitors will have the opportunity to preview forthcoming trends and collections from over 200 Australian and international exhibitors and hear seminars from leaders in the design community. Additionally, Lightsource will sit alongside Furnitex and DECORATION + DESIGN for the first time, showcasing the latest lighting products and technologies for commercial, retail, industrial and outdoor spaces.
